Completing an Inspection on the Mobile App

Walk through of how to complete an inspection with notes, photos, and videos on the mobile app.

 

Start by opening your app, where you'll see a list of assigned actions. Begin the inspection by hitting the download button to start the inspection.

The form starts with information about the equipment's location and specific instructions for the inspector. The details can be hidden after you review them.  Add general notes to the inspection, confirm the serial number, update the engine hours if necessary, and take photos and videos of the equipment.

To capture an image, click on the camera icon, then hit the camera button at the bottom of the screen.

Repeat the process to capture all necessary images of the equipment.

 

Next, switch to the detail tab. Here, you need to complete the form.

To indicate that an item has passed the inspection, swipe from the left of the screen to the right.

For items that did not pass, swipe in the opposite direction.

You'll be prompted to indicate if you need to make an adjustment, add something, repair or replace items that don't pass inspection.

In this example, the gauge glass is broken. The user takes a quick note, indicates how soon it should be done. how long it will take.

And add a relevant photo or video.

You can also annotate the photo for clarity. Click on the thumbnail on the bottom right, hit the paintbrush, and indicate the problem area.

Once all items have been inspected, hit "done" to save.

A red icon will indicate if the equipment didn't pass the inspection.

Continue this process for the rest of the inspection form.

 

As you complete sections, you'll see a tally of inspected items at the top. Tapping that header will move it to the bottom of the screen, revealing the next section to inspect.

Complete each of the items, and when you're done, hit the menu at the bottom right corner and select "complete" to finalize your inspection.
