This tutorial will guide you on how to create a service inspection using ActivateOS Customers. Follow the steps below to create a new service inspection.
Step 1: From your homepage, scroll over to the "Create New" option.
Step 2: Click on the "Service" option from the list of different inspection options.
Step 3: Select the machine for the inspection. You can choose either by serial number, unit number, or customer name.
Tip: Select Customer Name if you do not know the equipment's serial or unit number.
Step 4: Start typing for the desired customer, for example, "Claremont Designs".
Step 5: As you start typing, the information will automatically populate.
Step 6: Select machine, such as "Case I H Max 125".
Step 7: Fill in Machine Owner Info. Choose if you'd like to inform a contact at the Customer
Step 8: Add the machine location.
Step 9: Include any additional notes for the technician to view.
Step 10: Choose whether you'd like to make the note visible to the customer.
Step 11: Assign an inspector and the date you want the inspection completed by.
Step 12: If the inspector's name is not visible, click on "Include All" to expand the dropdown.
Step 13: Select the inspection date, which indicates when the inspection should be completed by.
Step 14: Include the inspection type.
Step 15: Assign who will follow up with the customer (Optional)
Step 16: The work order field is optional, and you can also make this a recurring inspection.
Step 17: Once you have completed all the information, click on "Create".
Step 18: You will be automatically redirected to the homepage, and a green banner will confirm the successful creation of the inspection.
Step 19: At this point, you can email your customer to let them know the inspection has been created and assigned.
