Step 5: Choose a Scheduling Method

Decide between two scheduling methods:

  • Follow the original schedule exactly: Set maintenance on predetermined dates, regardless of when the last Preventative Maintenance (PM) was performed. The schedule doesn’t shift if a PM is late.
  • Adjust schedule based on PM completion: The next PM is scheduled by adding the maintenance interval to the actual completion date of the last PM. This keeps the intervals consistent, even if a PM is early or late.

ImageStep 6: Set Next (or Last) Maintenance

For this example, adjust based on the last PM completion date. Indicate when the last PM was completed or choose when you want the next one to occur.

Document your choice.
