Easily set up a time-based preventative maintenance schedule in Activate and keep your equipment maintained on the right intervals. Follow these guided steps to ensure your assets stay on track.
Step 1: Select the Equipment
Find the asset requiring a preventative maintenance schedule on the equipment page. Select the asset’s row to open the equipment drawer.
Step 2: Access Maintenance Settings
In the equipment drawer, select Maintenance.
Step 3: Choose Time Based Maintenance
Click on Time Based Maintenance and begin creating your schedule.
Step 4: Select a Maintenance Plan
Pick the appropriate plan from the available options listed in the dropdown.
Once selected, review the maintenance intervals included in that plan.
Step 5: Choose a Scheduling Method
Decide between two scheduling methods:
- Follow the original schedule exactly: Set maintenance on predetermined dates, regardless of when the last Preventative Maintenance (PM) was performed. The schedule doesn’t shift if a PM is late.
- Adjust schedule based on PM completion: The next PM is scheduled by adding the maintenance interval to the actual completion date of the last PM. This keeps the intervals consistent, even if a PM is early or late.
Step 6: Set Next (or Last) Maintenance
For this example, adjust based on the last PM completion date. Indicate when the last PM was completed or choose when you want the next one to occur.
Document your choice.
Step 7: Pick the Interval
For this example, pick which PM interval to complete next.
Step 8: Set the Maintenance Date
Set the date for your next PM, then click Build Plan.
Step 9: Save the Schedule
If the schedule looks correct, click Save.
You’ll now see a summary card at the top displaying when the next maintenance interval is due. You've successfully set up a time-based preventative maintenance schedule, making it easier to track and complete upcoming maintenance tasks.
