In this article, you'll learn how to perform the same action on multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously using the ActivateOS platform.
Step 1: Select the equipment you want to work with by ticking the checkbox next to each unit number.
Tip: Check the top of the screen. You'll see a count of the equipment you've selected.
Tip: As you select more equipment, new options will appear in the top right. In the mark as section, you can do things like mark equipment as lost or stolen. The options depend on the equipment you've selected.
Step 2: Select the Actions dropdown.
Tip: The set of options is based on your asset selection. For this example, choose off rent. When working with multiple pieces of equipment, the system assumes the same action happened on the same day for all of them.
Step 3: Fill out the off-rent modal. Pick the end date or the date the equipment came off rent.
Tip: Review the details for each piece of equipment. If rental rate info is available, the system will estimate your total rental cost. This is just an estimate, and your actual charges may differ.
Tip: Adjust the cost if needed to reflect the actual price.
Step 4: If there was an asset schedule in place, you can also end the asset schedule the same day as the rental by selecting end asset schedule.
Step 5: Add call-off comments if needed. Once the form is complete, select off rent.
Tip: Notifications will appear in the bottom right corner about the actions taken.
The equipment you took off rent will move from your current rentals list to the prior equipment list. They'll now be in the off rent category.
